Amazon Updates Kindle Touch, Fixes Everything That Was Wrong With It

Dear Kindle User,
Your Kindle Touch is updated!
In addition to performance improvements for your Kindle Touch, new features include:
New Home Layout: We’ve made changes to the Home layout to make it easier to find and read your books.
Landscape Mode: Tap Menu and enter Landscape Mode to read maps, graphs, and tables easily in books and PDFs.
Language Support: You can use your Kindle Touch using your preferred language including: English (US and UK), German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Brazilian Portuguese. You can also download new free dictionaries from archived items for each of these languages.
Enhanced Table of Contents: You can now browse the Table of Contents in a book without leaving the page you’re on. Tap Go To from within a book, to see the new Table of Contents.
Highlighting Across Pages: You can now create highlights that span across pages. Tap and hold and then drag to the bottom right corner of the screen to automatically turn the page and continue highlighting.
Wikipedia Lookup: Tap and hold a word, select More, and then select Wikipedia to instantly lookup the word on Wikipedia.
Instant Translations: Tap and hold any word or highlight a section to instantly translate to and from Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
Sharing Options: Tell others what you’re reading on Facebook or Twitter from anywhere within a book — just tap Share to send a link along with your comments.
Onscreen Keyboard Suggestions: Search and shop faster with automatic word suggestions as you type.
Text-to-Speech Summaries: Text-to-Speech now reads summaries of English language newspaper and magazine articles to you when available from the publisher.
Keep your Kindle connected to a Wi-Fi network to make sure you receive all future software updates. We hope you enjoy the improvements we made.
Thank you and happy reading!
Sincerely,
The Amazon Kindle TeamP.S. Please do share your thoughts and comments with us. You can send them to the Kindle team at kindle-feedback@amazon.com – we’d very much love to hear what you think.
